Magnetic monopoles are imaginary constructs used to try to complete the duality between electric and magnetic fields. I suppose you could visualize them by imagining positive and negative point charges with fields radiating only in one hemisphere.

As far as I know, magnetic monopoles are purely theoretical particles. But a magnetic dipole is a "normal" magnet with a North and South pole, so a monopole only has one of these. Thus, it could have net magnetic charge.

There is no such thing as a magnetic monopole.

There are electrical monopoles, but not magnetic.
