Unique, YES...weird and unusual - please don't!!

try to be fair to the two little people who have to live with whatever you choose for them for the next hundred or so years! Obviously gender-switched names are just cruel (why call a child something that they will spend their entire life correcting people as to what gender they are?)

Same with the really, really funky spellings - despite the fact that they are unique, wouldn't it be cool if you could find stuff occasionally with your child's name printed on it at the store??

There are still tons and tons of cool, classy names out there that are unique but within reason, here are some I like:

Boys: Colton, Drake, Logan, Dawson, Tristin
Girls: Sophia, Claudia, Brooklyn, Isabella, Ella

Also, check out hidden names within your family tree that you can tweak to make your own, you may find something you truly love.

One last thought - how about classy, more standard names with lots of options? Elizabeth can be turned into Liz, Lizzie, Beth, Betsey, Liza, Ellie, Bessie, Libby... For a boy Alexander can be turned into Alex, Lex, Xan, Xander, etc.

Best of luck.....you'll know when you find the right names!!

Take my advice, I'm a fraternal twin....DON'T go with names that rhyme or start with the same letter...that can get a little cheesy. Just try family names...they don't even have to be first names.....your mom's maiden name or your grandfather's middle name should make for some interesting choices.
