So why is Syler after the cheerleader?
Can't he heal himself already? I haven't seen him take the healing power from someone but he should have died when jumping off the building with Peter when Peter first saved the cheer leader or when the people at the "paper-mill" killed him when they had him and were studying him and kept reviving him after he would die each time.

He is after Clare's powers because he can't heal himself yet. When he fell off the roof with Peter he was injured ( pretty sure he landed on Peter in the fall ) that was when the Haitian found him. Also when they were keeping him captive they were bringing him to the brink of death,not actually killing him, one of the scientists warned Bennett that if they kept it up he ( Sylar ) would die. hope this helps

Because, not only does he want her power, but he doesn't want her to have it. If she has the power, then she's pretty much one of the only people who could stop him. She's a threat to him. With her out of the way, he has a better chance of killing others.
