I am concerned about the pain you are talking about.
If you were pregnant you wouldn't be having pain around the area of your belly button. The pain would be more like bad menstrual pain.
Lay down, put your right thumb on your belly button, Stretch out your hand and put your pinkie finger on the top of your hip bone. Your first finger and your middle finger will make a V.
Take your left hand and push in your skin there in that V.
If that hurts, especially when you stop pushing on that area, it would suggest a infected appendix. Even if the pain isn't right at that point it still could be an infection. Also if it is hard to walk and when you lay down you arn't comfortable unless you lay with your knees up close to your chest.

Why would your doctor hate you? Change doctors.
Do a pregnancy test. or ask your doctor to do one.

You might just have bad gas pains. Or you might be constipated. Pain from that can be bad.

Check to see if you have a fever.

You also might have what is called an ectopic pregnancy which is where the egg gets stuck in the Fallopian tube and as it grows, the bigger it gets the more pain you have. This would need immediate attention.

If this pain continues you defiantly need to see a doctor. If it gets unbearable you need to get to an ER.

I couldn't say wether or not you are pregnant. Women do sometimes have a little spotting when they would normally get their period when they are pregnant, but I wasn't sure when exactly you had it. They can also have some spotting when the egg implants. As far as taking a pregnancy test, you can take them the day after you miss your period for most. The early tests can be taken earlier, but read the directions to see how accurate their results are. I would also consider getting a different doctor if you don't like each other. You definitely want a doctor you like and trust to go through your pregnancy and birth with if you are pregnant.

Hey,
I would test probably the following wednesday from when you were going to test only because that would be closer to you missed period.

If you have a negative result then wait for your missed period and i'd test probably 2-3 days after that!

If still negative see a doctor.
They can order a blood test which is more sensitive to the pregnancy hormone HCG.

Goodluck and just think positive!
Just remember NO contraception is 100% effective so alaways double up weather your on the pill and condoms or if you can't remember to take the pill why not try the injection or maybe the implant...

Take Care

First you need to find a doctor that you like. Even if your parents have an HMO insurance you should be able to change doctors.

Second, the spotting and now burning pain could mean a tubal pregnancy. This is where that egg doesn't make it all the way down to your uterus and it is now trying to develop in your tube. You need to see a doctor about that ASAP.
Or....sometimes when you are pregnant you still get cramping and some spotting and that is when the egg is attaching it's self to the wall of your uterus. It shouldn't be burning though.

It's time to go to the doctors.

Go ahead and test. If you're not pregnant then definately go to the doctor cause it could be something serious. Better safe than sorry. Please use protection all the time ok. You might also want to consider birth control. Not trying to preach but you should make these little choices now instead of having to make a bigger choice later or making a mistake like abortion. Protect yourself now. FYI it kinda sounds like you might have a bladder problem so if you got any issues w/ the bathroom tell the doctor those problem can be easily fixed.

I'd talk with my counselor about all the things that has happened to you. I think there is more to this story than you are telling. Unless your Mom has always been like this but if she were then I don't think you'd be this upset over it happening...idk. You are only 16, you have your whole life ahead of you. About being gay, you are only 16. Shouldn't you try boys before you make a decision like that?

the spotting sounds like stress related to me from personal experience i am a mom of three i don't ever recall having a burning pain. often times as we get older and a woman's body changes so does her cycle so don't stress too much alot of times stress in our daily lives, even being sick such as a stomach flu or even the common cold can make woman's monthly flow late or even just spotting. so don't start freaking out anytime soon. just give it a little bit more time maybe a couple more weeks then decide about taking a test or going to the doctor.

i didn't have any sharp pains. i had more known signs when i was first pregnant. i felt a little sick, missed my period, my breasts swell up, i get tired more then i used to, and i had to pee alot more. in my personal opinion 16 is a little young to be having any sex but its all in your decision. take a test when u feel is the right time. and make sure to do it during the first pee u have in the morning. it works better that way. good luck and i hope what ever answer u get doesn't cause u any emotional pain or problems.

firstly, the only safe sex is no sex, so sex, even with a condom can leave you pregnant. secondly, i would recommending finding a new doctor. it is so vital to have a doctor that you like and feel absolutely comfortable with. so shop around and find one that you like and go with them instead of the one you have now. last but not least, the only way you are going to know if you are pregnant is to take a test. so take a test then go off to your new doctor, the one that you're going to find, and have them confirm it with a blood test if the test was positive, or if it was negative, have them write you a prescription for the pill and get on it to avoid this situation happening again

This doesn't sound like pregnancy to me. If this pain continues, you should see your doctor.

When you are pregnant you start counting from the first day of your last period. If it has been about 3 weeks or more since your last period, a pregnancy test should definatly work.
