What part of L.A. are you talking about? downtown? there's "Mi Ranchito" for good mexican food on broadway and 5th downtown, and "rodeo" on olympic and alvarado, also has good mexican. Firebox Pizza for pizza and pasta on 2nd street and main. also, there's a bunch of ramen places near little tokyo on 1st street. and "senor fish" also on 1st and alameda. Olvera street and Phillippe's are also great.
