there are other minor children from another relationship and the person paying child support is raising these children , is this parent entitled to a percentage of his taxes ?

no -you cannot choose to support some children and neglect others.yes they can and will take all your taxes until the debt is paid in full.if you are remarried and you file a joint return with your wife and she actually worked and paid taxes she will be entitled to only her portion that she would have as a refund.she is not entitled neither are you to your portion because you have a debt to pay.good luck.

There are rules governing tax intercepts. The money owed to repay a past public assistance debt will be applied first from any tax intercept. To intercept taxes you must have a case with the child support enforcement agency as they are the only agency approved for this interception. You can contact your local child support enforcement agency and find out how tax interception works.

Nope, the person isn't entitled to a percentage. If back child support is owed, the entire refund will be taken to satisfy that debt.
