For some reason I feel that being seriously ill is a test of faith, and that all faith must be put in God's hands. If he intends me to be in pain, then i will endure it. I would never take my own life because it would still be murder, a sin.

I have had the reason here lately of being real close to several people going through Chemo Therapy. After seeing what horrible side effects they have endured, I wonder if I would have the courage to go through it. Hopefully I will never face that decision. But as it stands now, I would refuse treatment.

I'm ready to go peacefully.
Guess I'm kind of prejudice on this question...I'm a Hospice nurse, & I spend too much time watching people suffer because their families can't let go, & insist on putting their loved ones through agony.

As for me personally, pain is not a challenge. I have also done pain management work with burn victims. They all chose to survive.
