Update: I cant run six miles a day. I cant really run the two anymore. I tore some ligamites in my ankle. I kept running-limping for a couple of weeks which did more damage.

Genetics play a large factor in having a 6-pack; you may never see them. These extreme goals are why we are seeing a growing number of boys and young men with anorexia and other eating disorders, so don't overdo it and wreck your health for some ridiculous superficial ideal.

DON'T LOSE FAITH, IT CAN WORK. If you're not sore when you're done then you need to add more. Whether it be weights when you do your ab workout or more reps for your ab routine. I've done this myself and I have been a physical fitness instructor. If you're not sore after your workout, even a day later, you're not doing enough. I know that may sound rough but that's what's happening. Your belly is not sore because your muscles inside are not ripping. If you're not ripping them, they can't repair giving you the abs you're talking about. And it does take at least 6 weeks to see results once you've started doing it properly. You don't have to be in agony sore, either. As a matter of fact that's wrong. But adding a little weight to your ab regiment will help. You will be able to feel a difference in the workout itself right away, if you've added enough weight. Once you can feel it, track six weeks from that and see how you look then. Let me know how it all works out!!

This may sound frustrating, but since you admitted that you have a considerable amount of belly fat, the fastest way to see your abs is to concentrate on more cardio and eat only low-fat and high protein foods. Running two miles three or four times a week isn't going to give you fast results. Can you run more like 6 miles 4 or 5 times a week?
