That would have to be when Trot Nixon of the Red Sox caught what he thought was the 3rd out and threw the ball into the stands to a fan.

The only problem was it was the second out and not the 3rd. All of the Tampa Bay players then tagged up the base's they were on and avanced around the bases some of which scored.

A few years ago at a Royals game, I can't remember who the pitcher was, but Ken Harvey was playing first base. There was a man on 3rd and it was a close game. The batter hit a slow roller toward first base, harvey came in to field it and the pitcher was also running over to field it. Harvey decided to throw towards home and ended up throwing the ball directly into the face of the pitcher from about a foot away. His follow through on the throw also whacked the pitcher in the face and since both guys were moving seperate directions, they both got laid out when they collided.

I drew a blank until a read a previous response about the Nolan Ryan/Robin Ventura brawl. Nothing is funnier than a 23 year old rook get wrassled and beat down by a 45 year old pitcher on national television....especially when that player is on the White Sox and you're a Cub fan. That made it twice as funny for me.

1993 All Star Game when Randy Johnson throws a pitch over John Kruk's head, and scares Kruk really bad. That was really funny.

Also, when Nolan Ryan hit Robin Venturra with a pitch, Ventura charges the mound and gets put in a headlock by Ryan and pummelled. That was classic.

When the White Sox fan in the left field bleachers at Wrigley clapped when the announcer said that the Sox had won. He was promptly dumped off the 12 foot wall into left field and then his Black and White Sox hat was ritualistically burned by the "bleacher bums." (1964)

Didn't see this on video, but its a great story. Mark Grace was on the Jim Rome show, and told about the time he was with the Cubs, and Greg Maddux was pitching. Maddux appeared uncomfortable on the mound, leading Grace to think he might have pulled his groin, thinking "Great, there goes our Cy Young pitcher." Upon going to the mound, Grace asked Maddux what was wrong. Maddux told Grace that, for some reason, he was "very aroused" and couldn't stop "being aroused." Grace responded: "Dude, you love to pitch, don't you?!"
