Now, i understand that that was a bad election for the GOP and there was some serious advertising against him, but he lost like 57% to 44%, worst ever for an incumbant. Someone tell me what happened, in some detail.

PA is a blue state (deep blue if you ask me). To this day I am still amazed that Mr. Santorum got elected to the Senate in the first place. I think he just got swept out in a wave of anti-conservatism in PA. He did not do anything wrong or unpopular. Senator Casey, who unseated him, is a democrat political hack whose claim to fame is that his father was governor of PA. Casey held several political offices before becoming senator. Fortunately for all of us...in PA and in the US, Casey has done absolutely nothing since he has been in office. He learned that from his other elected offices.

If you had listened to any of his radical speeches and read about him and the things he believes, you would know.

In addition, he was a religious wacko who spouted off all the time about it.....

Religion may play a part in the midwest and southern part of our country....but on the coasts, particularly in the Northeast, we don't like proslytizers and preaching politicians.

These politicians must realize that it is impossible to please everyone. Stop pandering to the religious right while trying to impress those of us who have a brain.

Just tell us your plan for governance and your opinion on the issues. I don't give a dam if you worship trees so stop touting your religion....

"I am a Christian"....like, WHO CARES... "I am against a womans right to choose"...WHO CARES, Roe v Wade is here to stay, it is the law, you can't change it so shut up about it.

Look at the trouble Rudy is getting in to. He is trying to please both the moderates, liberals and neocons.... For years he has always said he supports a womans right to choose...now all of a sudden he is waffeling... I don't want a waffler for President.
