in sims 2 what are down townies

im pretty sure you get ti once you install the sims 2 seasons thats what my son says....

down townies are the sim's who socialize downtown simville or whatever your town name is. In other words, when you go to a community lot, you will see all the down townies (those sim's who are pre-created by someone else by default or they were created by you, that is if you created multiple families) and they will be doing different things depending onto what kind of community lot you are visiting. I think that all of the downtownies are the same as the regular townies. With each new EP more townies are added. Perhaps with Nightlife there are sims that are specifically downtownies but I dont know cause I dont have that expansion pack.

sims that your sims can interact w/ but u can't control unless you propose that they move in with u or a member of your sim family marries them
they r in the base game and all expansions
