It is for my work experience which I did 2 weeks ago however I have searched the web for hours and couldn't find the answers so I thought i'd got to good old yahoo.

RE: 'what would happen if ..' remember the authorities wish to achieve compliance, NOT prosecute - so employers who break the law are usually encouraged to 'mend their ways' (and in exchange charges are dropped)

REF Solicitors - these exist mainly to resolve disputes - typicaly they contribute nothing other than to redistribute wealth from one person / business to another whilst taking a slice off the top.
