no, a 10-20gallon filter is good for a 10-20gsllon tank. and really it's best to get one at least 10gallons bigger than your tank. so for your tank look for one for a 65gallon tank.

No, It will not be ok,because it will not get air to all parts of the tank. You could have 2 10-20 gallon filters on each side of the tank.Or you can buy a 55 gallon filter.

It's definitely too small. What are you keeping in the tank right now? The cloud this early in the game is normally a bacterial bloom. Are there fish in there? If so, what kind? The worst fish to have in a tank with too small a filter are the big bioload fish: certain cichlids, goldfish, plecos..to name a few.

If you're going to have a normal stocked tank with average bioload fish, then a filter meant for a 55 gallon tank is good. You should go the next size up though if keeping plecs, oscars, goldfish or some of the heavier bioload fish.

NO WAY! That is too small for a 55 Gallon Tank, That explains the cloudy water.

No it's not enough filtration. However, the water is probably cloudy because the tank was recently setup for the first time. Tank water is almost always a little cloudy when you first setup a tank, wait until you get sufficient filtration and a colony of bacteria in the tank, your water will get much clearer. Good luck.

It is cloudy because there is a bacteria bloom. You need to learn about cycling a tank, as well as getting a proper filter...

No, it is definitely not big enough. Get a 50 or 60 filter to clear up your cloudiness.

No it is not. Try a fluval 304 or 404, whisper makes a good filter as well as emporor.
