Intelligence may be the same from a number of sources. How one interprets the intellegence is another matter. Let me give you an example of two sentences. They have the exact same words but because of punctuation they mean something quite different. That may illustrate my point.

He eats shoots and leaves.
He eats, shoots, and leaves.

Those two commas make a big difference in the meaning of the sentence don't they. Well intel is the same. Sometimes we read into something what we want it to say and I believe that is what was done. There wasn't much information and what there was they interpreted to fit their need.

No, the analysis of every other intelligence agency in the world came to the same conclusion. The fact that we have not found WMD in Iraq means that one of a few things must have occurred:

1. Intelligence was analyzed under the false assumption that Iraq had WMD. We were looking for what could show this was true, not whether the underlying assumption was true.

2. They are still hidden in Iraq. I find this highly unlikely because either our forces or the insurgents would have found the WMD by now.

3. They were moved out of Iraq before the war began but after our intelligence information was collected. This would beg the question where, when, and how were they moved.

I do not believe that there is enough evidence to come to the conclusion that the Bush administration deliberately made up intelligence.

There may have been doctored intelligence, but there is no way to know who was responsible. Bush, himself, probably was not able to accomplish that.

What is more likely is that those presenting the intelligence knew what outcome was required and looked for anything that could lead in that direction. Putting importance on certain reports and ignoring conflicting evidence. Our intelligence community gets tons of information daily and is responsible to investigate what is credible and supported by facts and what is not.

The final report given to the world did not meet this standard. If any one person had influence over this travesty I would put it on Cheney.

simply by fact Bush knew finished nicely the intelligence did not tournament what he and his administration have been saying. Colin Powell later admitted and apologized for his infamous speech to the UN the place he purposely misinform them to approve invading Iraq.

Not the Bush administration but the intelligence community. FYI - George Tenet was placed in the CIA from the Clinton administration.

I and another 60% of the people now believe of the doctored intelligence information leading to the original loyal Bushie's invasion of Iraq. With the approval(?) rating of 28%, it safe to say that Bush has lied and been lying all these times about Iraq.

Absolutely. They immediately asked for information on Iraq after 9/11. When the facts came back that it wasn't Iraq, they didn't care.

They have been caught paying off scientists to provide phony reports in regards to global warming. This govt. is easily on of the most corrupt govts. of our time. Any supporters of these retards should be ashamed.

Yeah, right. So he could have the lowest approval ratings of just about any President? So he could be slandered and libeled and insulted at every turn? What would be the purpose of that??

I do think that many a leftist believed WMD existed/exists in Iraq, but they are too afraid to admit it now.

Of course they did,
Iraq was never a threat to the fickle west,
in 1987 Saddam was supported by the USA and the UK
when they were at war with Iran.
