if the names are that similar sounding that people will hvae troubles defining who is who. I had the problem with my boys whos names sounded too much alike.
Also being triplets they might feel more individual with some different names. That would be up to you. Here are some ideas of names that go together well.
Anna - Krista - Elsa
Katie - Molly - Tiffany
Bridget Gretta Sophia
Mazie - Lily - Rosie
Mia - Britta - Cinda
Ruby Lily Rose
Breeze Summer Sky
Lisa - Calla - Mazzie
Mackenzie Annaliza Emilla
Madison Sophia Katrina
Sophie Jenna Calla
Mia Kattie Sonja
Sadie Mindy Allie
Mazie Sophie Breanna
Jaz Sky Bree
Silvia Miya Ruby
Ruby Lily Rosie
Pracilla Hannah Callah
Kay Char Brit
Laura Karen Madison
Madison Sophia Jeanna
Robin Joy Mia
Katie Suri Jazie
Heather Jillian Mazie
Leaha Sonja Mia
Leann Annalisa Brenda
So what do you think about having the names similar but not so close in sound that it will be hard for you and others to remember who is who?

Honestly, I'm not a fan of the very similar names for twins or triplets. It can get confusing. Twins and triplets often complain about not feeling like their individuality is acknowledged enough, and names that are really close (sophie and sophia) will probably end up being a source of frustration. I do, however, like the idea of the names having some common characteristics. Flower of nature names for instance (Rose, Violet, Ivy, etc). Or if you really want to have the same first letter, let the names be different enough to distinguish them a bit more (Sophie, Suzanne, Sarah, etc). The M list is way too confusting, are mia and miya pronounced differently?

sophie and sophia and Mia and Miya are way too close, pretty much the same name. It will be confusing for them, their teachers ( as they are trying to distinguish them apart by looks, then they have to contend with a name that is identical) and you. When you are trying to yell across the yard or down the hall or when all three of them are running wild, trust me, my oldest two are Dustyn and Dilyn, and I am forever calling them by each others names, and the teachers at school and church are forever getting them confused. I thought it would be cute. Boy was I wrong. Also they are already part of a group, they don't even get their own birthday, they need to be an individual. I thought the whole naming similar names with neat spellings was cool and cute, but I swear it is a headache for all that are involved...inculding the poor kids who didn't have a choice. Please choose names that are very different in every way. We are naming our twin girls, Emma and Annabelle. Now you don't have to like the names, but you see what I am saying. We tried to have very different names. Good luck with the triplets and God bless you

Sophie, Sadie and Sophia. Although I think Sophie and Sophia are too similar. I have a friend who is named Sophia and all of her friends call her Sophie for short.
Maybe you could go with...
Sophia, Sadie and Seija (Say-uh)... I knew a swedish foreign exchange student with that name in high school and always LOVED it.
Congrats on your triplets!

I like Mia, Miya, and Maizie. You could also go for the sound alike manes like Tracy, Stacy, and Lacy. What ever you choose as long as you like it no one else matters.

I like the names you've chosen but think that mia and miya and sophie and sophia are too closely spelled and pronounced. I would suggest you find something else instead that matches your theme but isn't one letter different.
Otherwise you'll be one of those parents that calls out every name (including the dogs') before they find the right name of the kid they're calling (don't laugh, I have 3 brothers and sisters and it happened to me.....and we're not quads!)
Good luck and congratulations!
