I'm trying to find something affiliated with the water from myth or legend of any region. Something that was friendly and perferably with a name easy to pronounce. Anyone know of any? (Please include a description or link to further help if possible)

Nereids, in Greek mythology, nymphs of the Mediterranean Sea. They were the 50 lovely daughters of Nereus, the old man of the sea, and his wife, Doris. They lived at the bottom of the sea, but often came to the surface to aid sailors and other travelers. They were believed to ride dolphins and other sea animals. The most famous of the Nereids were Thetis, the mother of the Greek hero Achilles; Amphitrite, the wife of Poseidon, god of the sea; and Galatea, who was loved by the Cyclops Polyphemus.

We have got two mythical names in Persian folks that related to water, the first one is Daeeti ,the main mythical river which passed through the Persian ancient world ,the second, Anahita(also Nahid) , goddess of water whom had been believed that create all springs, lakes ,rivers ,seas and oceans , her mane has been the most favorite name for girls in Persia till now.
But there are many other names that don’t have any delighted mythical sours, but directly related to water, and they are used as favorite names, same as: Jhaleh (means drop of water on the flowers), Shabnam (drop of water which appear in the early morning on the plants)and finally, Darya which is so popular(means sea).Cheshme (spring)
By the way, I hope these names be useful

Poseidon (puh-sy-don) was the ancient Greek god of the sea. (Neptune to the Romans.) He was the brother of Zeus, the king of the gods, and Hades (Pluto to the Romans), god of the underworld. He appeared as a horse when he showed himself to humans and is often pictured as a horse on the beach made of sea foam. Aphrodite (a-fro-dy-tee), the goddess of love (Venus to the Romans), was born from the waves--you can get more details of that interesting story from a book on mythology at your library, or try an online encyclopedia. Another classical sea goddess was Ondine. Wagner's Ring maidens lived underwater, and Tolkien borrowed some of their story for the origin of the ring in his famous trilogy. One of the Welsh gods was Dylan, god of the sea. Dylan Thomas was named for him by his father. (Bob Dylan was not).
