changing the time doesn't work. it senses that you've changed it. slather a tree with honey and WAIT 6-24 hours and come back. if the tree's rustling there'll be a pokemon. if not it's either the honey's still there( check by pressing A in front of it) or you're too late. the pokemon that appears is always the same so there's no point in turning off your game and turning on again.

Like one of the other people said - the game will detect when you try to time travel so you will have to wait for at least probably 24 hours before the clock readjusts itself to the new time.

So when that happens, next time - the best thing to do is to wait. Put the honey on the tree and then just wait for at least a few hours. Could be 2, could be 3, could be 4 - I dunno but you have to wait.

it didn't work because you set it to 24 hours ahead, it's 12 hours

plus if you mess with the time, it takes 24 hours for the changes to go into effect (berries growing, honey trees)
