What events led to the defeat of Germany in World War 1? What did the Peace Conference contribute?

Germany was defeated due to it's depleted forces. It was fighting a war on two fronts. I wish America's president would pay attention to this.

The treaty of versailles was harsh on Germany and led to much hatred for the rest of the world and it also led Germany to suffer a severe economic depression much worse than what the United States suffered.

The US entered the war and threw the balance of power in favor of the Allies. The Treaty of Versailles was so harsh on the Germans, it helped spawn Adolph Hitler and his murderous regime.
