I'd have to agree, one mouse a week for a 2 year old Ball Python sounds like an awfully small meal. Some hatchling Ball Pythons can eat adult mice, so unless your Ball is unusually small, I would up the feeding. My adult Balls get 1-2 rats each per week, depending on the size of the rat. Some prefer smaller rats, but will take 2 in a feeding.

If you prefer to stay with feeding mice, I would try feeding 2 adult mice, and see if she will take them. If you want to switch to rats, start out with a rat approximately the same size as the mice she has been eating, and work your way up to an appropriately sized rat.

2 years old and your only giving it 1 large mouse??
You're ball should be eating something alot bigger than that by now...they should be eating small to medium rats atleast...

The older the snake, the less likely you should feed it...
If your ball is 2 years old, you should probably give them 1 medium rat a week...
The size of the food depends on the size of your snake though...
Go by the thickest part of their body, you should be feeding it rats or mice that are as thick as the thickest part of their body...
If they are thicker than a large rat, then you double up....

It's hard to tell you what and how often you should be feeding your snake with out seeing it or knowing how much it has been eating in the past...
If you are feeding a 2 year old only 1 large mouse or 2 small mice in one week, it sounds like there might be a problem....either, it's not that old or hasn't been fed enough....
You should really find a good reptile vet in your area and take your ball to get it checked out...

I hope this helps...GOOD LUCK!!!!

I would go with A. One big mouse per week. Adult snakes should have a bit of a break between meals and not be constantly, actively digesting as would be the case with choice B. Adult prey has a fully calcified skeleton and fully developed organs which are a critical source of minerals and vitamins which is why I prefer adults over young mice when possible.

If your ball python is eating every week you are doing well!!! My daughter breeds ball pythons and she prefers to feed her young snakes rat pups instead of mice. They provide a third more protein than mice.
