Ingrid sounds stuffy and old. I picture a woman that always wears skirts that come to her ankles and a turtleneck, even in the summer. She's probably stubborn and hard, not a soft person.
Viola makes me think of the Shakespeare character from Twelfth Night (the movie She's The Man was based on this story). Since it does sound like the musical instrument, I imagine that she likes music and is feminine. Since I know the story, I also imagine that she's brave and strong (that's how I see the character, anyway, she did what she had to in order to survive). I would pronounce it v-eye-ola rather than v-eee-ola.
Svetlana sounds stuck up, thinks she's "all that". I imagine bad dyed blonde hair.

Ingrid seems kind of bookish to me.
Viola makes me think of an old woman since the only person I've ever known who was named that was old.
Svetlana sounds like the name of a Russian skater or gymnast who would be beating the Americans in the Olympics.

When i first read them they all reminded me of flowers. But if yooh want ill have another go:
Ingrid - Reminds me of an old lady who used to come and teach me maths afterschool, she was awful treated me horribly and always made me cry.
Viola - A small dainty girl with blonde hair and blue eyes wearing a pretty dress hehe.
Svetlana - Sweat, Hehe. Sorry but this name is so random and awful Haha.
If yooh were goin to use any then use Viola its so pretty x

I don't know why you would want to change your name but if my child wanted to I would be hurt.
I don't like any of the names. Ingrid sounds rigid and stiff very old. Viola sounds like a hooker and Svetlana sounds cheap and made up for attention.

ok seriously here is what I think of..... Ingrid sounds like you would be selling tamales from the trunk of a run down van. Viola sounds like a smelly grandmother in a retirement home and svetlana sounds like something shlavin....where you wear kilts and yodle (sp) so its whatever floats your boat.

ingrid- old fashioned and german but classy viola --- a friend i knew a long time ago that was her name cute, fun , flirty svetlana /? i cant even pronounce it! it looks and sounds fake ! i dont like it at all ! of these names i would choose viola.what about ANYA? or RANDI ? or LANI ? good luck!
