My all time favorites would have to be a tie between Red Hot Chili Peppers and Coheed And Cambria.
Both absolutely awesome.
But I like Avenged Sevenfold, Mindless Self Indulgence, Paramore, Cute Is What We Aim For, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, 30 Seconds To Mars, Good Charlotte, Hellogoodbye, Hawthorne Heights, Gym Class Heroes, Hinder, Incubus, Mudvayne, Say Anything, Shiny Toy Guns, System Of A Down, The Academy Is..., The Killers, Three Days Grace, Yellowcard. As for the oldies, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Lynard Skynard, KISS, Whitesnake, but I never really cared too much for The Beatles.
but thats all of them.

oh! and Bon Jovi.
They're absolutely awesome.

well I'd have to say Within Temptation. Sharon Den Adel's voice is amazing. I also adore Lacuna Coil, Leaves' Eyes, After Forever, Visions of Atlantis, Sirenia, Echoes of Eternity, Aesma Daeva, Elis(before Sabine died, R.I.P Sabine), Edenbridge, Delain, The Gathering, Battlelore, Darkwell, Gretchen,Sinergy, Ancient, Theatre of Tragedy, Nightwish (before Tarja left), Xandria, The Crest, and Epica...try Sonata Arctica and Dragonforce, they arent exactly gothic metal but are really good anyways and some argue that Therion is the best gothic/symphonic band ever but I disagree...cheers!

Cake...absolutely Cake. I dare you to find a band out there with the same complex lyrics and quarky sound, you can't. Not to mention they're from my hometown, Sacramento.
