I dont know what facebook is but in my opinion if you said something about her outside of school and facebook has nothing to do with school, then NO they had no right to suspend you. If you said it to her face or said it on a website or something that has something to do with school, then yes they had the right but I still think 10 days is a little harsh. I would fight it one way or another.

Hey, dude! Freedom of speech!

Obviously you are mature enough to actually have an opinion worth listening to, based on your wide experience, high level education and your world travels. Yah, put a bunch of crap on the Internet.

You like Internet freedom? Tell you what - go back to FaceBook and threaten violence. Then you can get arrested and jailed for 5 years.

You are such an idiot. Why do you endanger your school record and possibly your potential career - just to impress a bunch of sniveling crack users you call friends.

Dumbass. Think long-term, as in 1 or 5 years down the road, not just 5 minutes ahead.

Oh, before I forget - which one are you? Bevis or Butthead?

Shame on you. Saying it on Face Book or to the teachers face directly is wrong. In the grown up world you will need to know when to hold your tongue. Best to take the 10 days and learn the lesson now. Free speech is not an entitlement to speak meanly.

sounds to me like you need to grow up! what did you expect to happen? everybody was going to pat you on the back and you were going to be the coolest kid in the class? everybody is entitled to their opinion but free speech is NOT slandering someone because you dislike them. welcome to the real world! how about spending the 10 days growing up and learning how to express yourself more effectively instead of resorting to "bad" words that any idiot can use. by the way exactly what "cause"are you fighting? your right to go to school and be educated or the teachers right to teach a class without harrassment.

I exceptionally doubt that that's a disgruntled person dropping their efficient time vote casting for no BA just to spite human beings. that's in all probability whoever asked the question that's doing it so they are in a position to get their 5 factors returned (in case you probably did no longer already understand, the asker gets an entire refund of their factors if no BA is chosen by way of voters). they have extra reason than anybody else.

if your words could be offensive to anyone for any reason, yes.be smarter and more considerate.with rights come responsibilities and consequences.you better watch it goof again and you could be expelled!in the real world people lose their jobs if there is even a hint of something like this.be careful cause it gets worse i was fired from my job over blatant lies because people did not like me and was able to get others to lie also so they could be p. c. and that is the truth,i swear on my mothers grave!good luck.

Freedom of speech doesn't give you the right to slander someone. Let it go, teachers deserve respect. You wouldn't want people doing that to you - put yourself in their shoes.

no, you have your right to free speech and what are administrators doing on facebook anyways? i would take the time off from school but fight it after because that goes on your record and effects which companies want to hire you so try to fight it later. but just take the time off for now

ok, u have free speech, but in school it pretty much doesn't count if a staff member wants to disipline u. if it happened off school ground, than i dnt think that's fair.
ggod luck
