I live my life as I always have. Sometimes I get hot flashes. That is one of the worst symtoms. I almost have to come out of every piece of clothes.It gets pretty bad.Then I get on the roller coaster, with my moods. I'm up than I'm down. Up, down, terrible mood swings.You just have to keep reminding yourself that you are going thru what every women goes thru, you are not losing your mind.That helps me out alot.You may want to buy some of the new meds they have for menapause, it just different herbs, but it is suppose to help with the hot flashes and mood swings and different symtoms of menapause.It takes a couple of weeks before you see a change, thays why I did'nt get it. If I take a pill I want to see a diffrence that day.lol. Good luck on your personal journey.

Get some good books and read about it. I started having hot flashes when I was 37. I take wild yam for it and I have not had any hot flashes since. I am 45 now. Black cohosh is also said to be good for menopause.
