My fiance has been a self employed carpet fitter for 10 years and then worked on the railway maintainance for a year, he switched jobs for more security as the carpet fitting money was up and down, He now feels unsecure again as it is an agency he is working for, He earns a decent salary but wants to become employed for more security as the third child is on the way. These are the only jobs he knows, is there anything out there where he could train as he worked and still earn a decent wage to support his family or even any suggestions of jobs he could do with the skills hes already got??

I would have though something in Building Maintenance / Goods Inwards / Warehousing etc. would suit - after all he must be used to dealing with customers and finding solutions to fitting problems ..

There are many Employment Agencies = go 'sign up' with a few (DON'T be tempted to PAY any sort of Agency FEE no matter WHAT they promise - real Agencies get paid by the Employer for finding them good workers - con-merchants and scam artists give 'Guarantees' and take 'Deposits' from unemployed people and give them NOTHING in return except excuses ..)
