Gere kissing Shetty in India for that particular event they had. I feel there was nothing wrong with that and they need to drop that lawsuit. Who else agrees with me on that issue and thinks it is totally wrong? I live in the US and born and raised here just to let all of you know that.

It was completely wrong for Gere to be criminally charged. They were raising money for AIDS awareness, Gere deserves better.

I think that it was blown out of proportion too but Richard Gere should have known better than to pull a stunt like that. I am not Indian nor have I ever been there but I am aware that they don't condone that kind of behavior in public. If you are going to visit another country you have to be aware of their local customs and belief systems and respect them no matter how strict you think it is. Had Richard Gere done that he would have saved himself from a lawsuit.

This incident shows how backwards some countries still are.
They should have learned better manners from British ruling.
In this day and age, their laws are an insult to men and women's rights.

HEEYY! im indian too. the parents are from keral, but im from U.S.A BABII born and raised all the same. but i dont got the extra dark skin my mom is like white skined so it makes me SUPER light.(but not white people light) INNO! the indians are going crazy over this (even the monkeys are! lol) i think they should get over them selves too. on their indian news channel u can see people burning posters with richard! they over react too qiuck. (living with indians all my life i kinda know, but they're soo much fun espically with alchol in their system) my uncles are all about HENNESY! lol
