The cons do not care about our troops. They only care about blindly following Bush. They don't care about his war profiteering, up to 15 million PER DAY. Oh yeah, and they love to bash thinking Americans who have the intelligence and balls to disagree with Bush and Cheney our evil, war mongering leaders.

What people don't seem to realize is that the War was won and its over...what we're dealing with now (and failing at) is trying to stabilize a government. Its so unfair to say that the war is lost or can be lost if we withdraw. Our initial (and foolish) goal was to oust Saddam because we erroneously thought Iraq had WMD's and were connected to Al-Quida. We acheived our primary objective and ousted Saddam. Since there were no WMD's and since there was never a connection between Saddam and Al-Quida, we're left with egg on our face holding the proverbial 'bag'. Honestly, how are we (as an occupying force) supposed to force people to create, support and live in a democracy when it is obvious that they do not want to?

Its a moot point on either side. The "war on terror" isn't going to be won OR lost by the military. The war on terror will be "won" when the people who hate us stop hating us. I don't know how that's going to happen, but the military certainly isn't going to do it.
