I told another mom, that my daughter enjoys "outdoor activities" better than sitting in front of her laptop chatting with her daughter and she said to me, that using the computer will be very helpful in her future life (my kid is 7) so, I told her to "get real" and suddenly, the conversation on the phone was over. I heard a "click". My daughter is playing outside now, with my son. She is having a blast!!!

I wasn't snotty she sounded like she wanted to convince me and honestly, I don't like to be pushed around. I just explained to her my reasons and she is not a friend, just a mom whose daughter is in my daughter's class and we meet in school outside, when we pick them up.

no you were not wrong honestly when kids watch t.v. and stand in front of the computer all day it turns their brains into mush but what you do with your children and tell them what to do it will always work out for the best

No you weren't wrong... my kids would rather be outside then stuck inside.. yes computers will be useful but like you said your daughter is 7 there is still plenty of time to learn the computer..and being outdoors is better for them.

Sounds good to me - my kids don't get to sit in front of the computer or the TV that's what the backyard or the neighbor kids are for -- entertainment and imaginative play

lol, nah you weren't wrong.
Computers are helpful, but I mean, your daughter is only 7 and she should use her childhood for something better than wasting time on the computer.

Right or wrong depended on tone and perception. If she thought you were telling her she's rearing her kids wrong, that's why she doesn't like you. (If she's telling you that you are rearing your kids wrong and you tell her different, she didn't like you in the first place and now she can't stand you.)
But no, nothing you said was actually wrong.

Your friend hung up on you?? Over that??? Thank god it wasnt something more serious. You werent wrong to have an opinion and voice it. But you might be wrong in chosing this woman as a friend. Yikes!!!
