Did you like it? Did you make any money? Did they protect your work from people right-clicking?

I do this professionally. My artwork is for sale on line. The absolute best resource is to have your own web site in addition to having your work on someone else's site. You have total control with your own site. It works and I use homestead.com. On someone else's site you may be just one of hundreds of artists featured. You want your work to stand out on its own. Homestead does not require any programming knowledge. Feel free to email me privately with additonal questions.

1. Yes.
2. I did it myself, using PayPal.
3. It was ok.
4. Yes, I made some money. Not as much as I would have liked, but that might be because I suck. :-)
5. I didn't have to protect it, because it was REAL art, not computer-generated. They could right click it all they wanted for a useless picture, but they could not right click and produce a real painting or sculpture.

u can sell it in Deviantart.com as a painting

A friend sold it to iStockphoto.com, the illustration becomes a stock image. She manage to get $15 out of the illustration in the third week. Not great but still counting. But because its used by anyone, anywhere without your consent, not ideal for the artist =]

Well I have a solution. If you think it's REAL valuable and don't know how muck, just send your work into the auction place, have them give you an estimate, and when you get it, go to I Sold It On ebay, and sell it there.
That's what my uncle did.
