Depends on why you need the vacation.
If to relax, go to Hawaii. Either Maui or Kauai should do you just fine. However if it's for excitement and culture then I would go to either New York City or London. If for adventure, then I would go to Costa Rica or Alaska.

durring the hottest part of summer i like to go to colorado with a tent and camping gear, find a nice quiet creek or mountain lake and camp out for about a week. just fish, rest, and listen to nothing. no modern conveniances, no interuptions, no annoyances. remember though, in the high country it still get mighty cold at night, even in the summer time, take a jacket and some warm sleeping gear, but the days are wonderful.

i hv been to few countries but new zealand is memorable - i visited the south island where there are more sheeps than people, the country is picture perfect, the people are the friendliest on earth, i think
