No. None of it was wasted. Even the bad experiences & mistakes served a purpose. They all taught me something valuable. I've actually been fortunate enough to have some pretty wonderful experiences (travelling to Europe, NYC, etc, going to university, being published, being on TV, on the newspaper & the radio, writing & performing songs, creating art and selling paintings, buying a house, falling in love etc) which I will always treasure. There is still a lot I want to do (finishing my CD, horseback riding, skydiving, more travel, writing a novel etc etc).

Your life is never a waste. Don't take anything for granted. Make the most of your life. Starting now! Do something you've always wanted to do! Go after your dreams! At least go for a walk & enjoy a breath of fresh air. Take a moment to think about your life. Why would you see it as a waste? How would your time be better spent? Then go out & spend it! Life is not a dress rehearsal. It is to be lived. Now. Seize the day!

:)

No way! I've spent the last 30 years working toward my bachelor's degree. I changed my major twice, and couldn't pass my language class. That meant, because I had reached my senior residency and run out of money, that I could not get my degree. It was disappointing, but in no way did I waste a moment of my time.
I treasure every hour in class. I learned so much about life in every class. All that information and experience is in me, in my mind. I use it all. Not a day goes by that I don't use the growth and information that gave me. I am an artist now, and artists use their medium to speak about issues and ideas. All that education filled me with the issues of the day and helps me generate so many ideas I cannot do them all. So, just a single requirement separated me from my degree, my "proof" of achievement in the eye of society. By my work will stand for my real proof. I only gained from my experience -there was no loss.

No,but there have been a few times I've taken a wrong turn.
All we can do is learn from our mistakes and use the experience to prepare for the next detour. If a people can in
any way have a positive effect on those around them, their
lives won't be wasted.

No, but some of them were 'lost' and I regret that every day. I could have had way more orgasms! I could have found out that sex actually is fun! I could have figured out I AM the most important person in my life. I could have made better choices to make me happier, sooner.

Now, though. I'm pretty happy. just p.o'ed because I wasted my 30s.
