I expect to either be ignored or treated like crap. And, unfortunately in today's culture of complete lack of "customer service" I am never disappointed.

When I step inside Home Depot I expect the red carpet( 15.99 per unit price} rolled in front of me. I want the unvarnished truth. I am not some knotty painted lady who needs to be molly coddled. I am a multi fauceted individual who is always looking for constructive ways to make things better, no matter how board I may be. This might floor you, but I expect to be treated with dignity in a way that will cement good relations.

No, I do not expect VIP treatment but I expect to be treated equally and be treated with respect and decency as should everyone else.

If that VIP treatment includes being left alone until I actually wanna talk to the sales clerks, then I expect it. I can't stand being hassled until I actually have a question or need their help. "Go away already, I'm still looking!"

Nope --- usually I don't get VIP treatment at Goodwill or the Salvation Army. But they do have great prices on clothes and items for my place.

I don't care if I'm treated like a superstar or as a regular person just as long as I'm treated with respect and being helped out if I need it. Some stores don't help people out and you're on your own in terms of looking for things which sucks when you aren't familiar with a certain store.

Nope...but I get it more often than not, because I treat the staff like human beings, and ask moderately comprehensible questions.

...unlike here. :P
