Like, what are usally the characters in a slasher film. I only know one and that's the final girl.

And also, what's the most common name to use for the characters in a slasher movie?

And one more thing, what's the most common weapon, most common place they get stabbed, and has it ever happened where a character got stabbed in the mouth?

Where's the most common place for one of the character's to get killed?

Stereotypes I often see in slasher films:
1. the one-dimensional, paper-thin, brave hero/heroine
2. the naive, virgin damsel in distress
3. the soon-to-be-slashed *lut
4. the minor-charactor minority in the background (eg. the gay, Jewish African-American)
5. the a**hole who gets to live near the end, until he receives poetic justice through mutilation/decapitation/some-other-form-of-gruesome-death)

Oh lol well lets see, there´s always that one guy that is a complete jerk and all the other characters hate but they put up with him anyway.

There´s the promiscuous girl, that often turns out to be the first to be killed.

Then there´s at least one really loving sweet couple thats also really good friend´s with the hero or heroine of the film...they´re usually the ones that die right before the killer starts chasing the hero or heroine.

And the hero is usually the nice guy thats kind of shy and no one pays much attention to. But in the end, he´ll probably end up saving one of the girls, who just happens to be the girl that he has had a crush on for years...and then in the end they will probably most likely end up getting together.

The heroine is usually a sweet, popular girl, thats pretty caring, but most people would say she isnt really that strong. And in the end, when she survives, you often get to see in the sequel just how much more stronger she´s become.

And then finally there´s the killer of course. There seems to be 3 kinds of killers in movies. The one that the hero/heroine thought they killed, but find out in the sequel that they actually didnt....The second kind of killer is the one that actually does die in the end....And the third kind is the killer who was inspired by this previous killer´s crimes and so becomes a copy cat and tries to finish killing them people his "idol" could not.

Most common ways to die are being stuck through the body with something (such as a demon punching a hole in your chest, or a knife or pipe in the back)or having the throat cut, including decapitation. The dead body being displayed is also common, like being hung on a coathook.
Usual characters are horny young couple, jerk, nice girl, person with occult knowledge or some sort of connection with the location the events are happening in; a person not with the group who helps via radio or computer etc, or who joins up with the group later on; greedy person who is trying to exploit the situation or people in it; authority figure like a policeman who doesn't believe that anything is happening; person with a camera trying to record events; person who doesn't want to be there but has been dragged along by a friend or because a friend or family member is involved.

Yeah, the final girl is a big part. I'm trying to remember the other names for the characters but nothing is coming to me. Sorry. But if you need a good example of the final girl, Jamie Lee Curtis is one.
