Puppies. My brother breeds absolutely exquisite puppies and one of the harem almost always has a brood.

When I am blue, I go out there and spend a few hours holding and conditioning puppies to being held and used to people touching them. Their slightly sour milk breath never fails to make me smile. The mother and the other moms and dad dog are all in and out of the area, playing acknowledging the babies and it is always a treat.

Last night, one of the retired Mommas (only 5 litters per beeotch) blew us away. When no one was looking she somehow found and deposited two very young bunnies into the whelping box with the puppies who had no idea what was going on! Like any fine hunting dog, the bunnies were completely unhurt by her handling. But to me, that story will always cheer me up.

Now we have to figure out what to do with the bunnies because they are too small to be with standard poodle puppies.

I live by the ocean and when I have to SCREAM out my anger or sorrow, which can happen, nothing beats walking by the shore on a windy day and screaming it out! No one hears you and you disperse so much emotion. Or a walk in the forest with my camera. That never fails ... ever.

And, of course, music.

Doing something nice for someone else always cheers me. Takes my mind off of my own troubles.

little songs like--
"Would you LIKE to swing on a star?
Or carry MOONbeams home in a jar?
You're better off just RIGHT where you are--
Or would you RAther be a fish?

A fish is an animal,......."

Or sometimes a worship song to God pops into my head,--
",....all the Earth, let us sing, Power and Majesty, Praise to the King---Mountains bow down and the seas will roar at the sound of your name---"

Pretty much a gospel song or "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the Shadow of Death, I will fear no evil, for Thou art with me,...."

Maybe you need to change your thinking.
THINK about what you are thinking about.
Think--GOD loves me SO much.
I am the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ.
It is WHO I AM in Christ that makes me worthy of the love of God.
I am HIS child.
God loves me SO much.
Thank You, God, that You are going to make me feel BETTER!
