do actor's get to see their movie before the premiere?

It seems like every tiime they're on a show promoting the film about to premiere, they claim they haven't seen the film yet and watch the clip for the first time. I don't believe that in most cases. They do go on to other commitments while the final film is being cut and edited, but I bet most check it out at private dailies or even surprise unannounced public screenings. Some movies have 3 endings made so they can test the best or most audience-satisfactory one out with the public before choosing the ending. Happened with Fatal Attraction maybe. In that case maybe some actors don't know which was chosen. And many films like indies of course go round on the circuit to festivals famous and infamous so even though they act surprised, I think that's just.....acting.

Oh yes. Just because filming finishes, it does not mean the film is ready. They sometimes see the Rushes after a days filming and if they are involved in the editing process, they see the film over and over and over and over again. The film goes into Post Production after filming where the sound is mixed and if the actor is credited as a Producer or Executive Producer, it means they have some control over the final edit of the film depending on what is written into their contract.

I don't think so b/c after they wrap up it has to go to editing and some actors already be on the set of their next film...maybe real big stars get a copy b4 it's premiered.

yes - of course they have the option, but I hear a lot of actors don't watch their films because they criticize themselves throughout the whole movie.

Some do, some don't. Many have the opportunity to view "dailies." Also, there are typically preview screenings before it's released to the general public.
