On the contrary, if he gets elected, it will be DESPITE the fact that he is black. For that to happen, however, according to CNN, it will require gaining approximately 41% of the white vote. Not happening. What a shame.

As long as the Republican Party continues to allow clowns to hijack the party, this is what will happen. Huntsman seemed to be the only semi sane candidate that I felt could have won, but he was thrown under the bus early. What was left were literally caricatures, and of course the one token black guy who was about as serious a contender as a whoopee cushion. The Republican Party is a shadow of it's former self under Reagan. Now, it is a party of mostly angry older white people that fear being the minority, of which that will happen within the next 30-50 years. Instead of maturing gracefully, the Republicans continue to spew far right wing rhetoric trying to entice the far right of the party. Obama was beatable this election. He failed to close Guantanamo, continued to use Bush era constitutionally questionable tactics for law enforcement, anemic growth in the economy, extremely slow immigration reform, and of course Benghazi. He still won. Why? Because ideology trumps practicality with the Republicans. To those that would give this comment a thumbs down, that's ok. Why? Because Obama is proof of Republican incompetence.

The Nation is divided. Which ever candidate says Praise Jesus the most wins the Christian vote and the Whitehouse.

Obama needs to prove that he is a Holy Roller to win.

I see him as the VP on a Hillary ticket. Dems are looking for a 16 year hold on the Executive branch.

Go Team Red Go

A better question would read: Do you think Obama will not be elected just because he is black?

Answer: He transcends racial divides and will become the first black President.

Yes. That and he is not Hillary Clinton! I am hoping that White House Press Secretary Tony Snow runs for president and the Democrats can live with what they have lived with for the past 8 years. A respectable person in the White House would be great--maybe even a respectable Dem.

NO. If Obama gets elected it will be because of more than his color. It will be because of his stand on the issues. Anyone who votes for or against a candidate based on only one issue is a fool.

No matter what party someone belongs to, I hope with all my heart that no one out there would vote for someone solely because they are black. Why can't everyone just look at a candidate's stand on the different situations that are going on right now.

That is the same as not voting for him because of his middle name.

For those that are using these reasons to vote, please stay home on election day. People, please educate yourselves before you go to the polls.

That would be sad if he did. People should be elected president based on their Qualifications and NOT their Race or religion.

I don't support him because of what he stands for, or doesn't stand for.

I have thought that other black people would make great presidents.

Honestly? no, He probably wont get elected because hes black and he's a muslim. And if he isn't now he certanly was, so you go and read revelations and see for your self, and also do you honestly think with the blacks being the minority in this country you think he will actualy win? America isn't ready for a black(certanly not a black muslim) president. Sorry buth that is the truth.
