i'm pretty sure he's not on legal substances, unless its an excessive amount of caffeine. patrick is just stoned half the time.
then again spongebob MAY just be hyperactive and avoiding ritalin....
and Patrick may just be rather lethargic, or dumb....

Lol, nice to see someone *finally* takes the show seriously.
I'd say he's more neurotic in the sense that he seems to act that way more than psychotic. However, I don't believe that he's on meds, maybe just high on life and love being happy.
Patrick isn't exactly stupid or smart, but and isn't the brains behind the show. He's the entertainment of it, but I think he knows more than he shows.

Psychotic - loss of touch with certainty; delusional Neurotic - its a psychological imbalance (customarily emotional; think of character themes) yet would not influence rational thought like "psychotics". Schizophrenia - a psychological illness that could create a distorted experience of certainty. in specific circumstances hallucinations, delusions, or disorganized concepts/speech. yet save in mind that in basic terms via fact a individual is "schizo" does no longer mean they are psychotic....a lot of people function completely commonly used, surprisingly with meds.

Sponge bob is made for children. Yet there is nothing wrong in an older person watching it. Yet older people believe like you that Sponge bob has no meaning. It does not have a point except for the enjoyment of young children.
They are characters in a light free TV show, not people. Patrick, because he is dumb, makes him very amusing for young children. My brother who is 3 loves that show and his favorite character is Patrick.

Well, in the movie, you find out that Spongebob has an addiction to ice cream. Ice cream makes him act zany and silly, but then it causes him to have horrible hangovers. Patrick has abused ice cream so much, his brain has been damaged and thus acts stupid.

I don't know, but if we didn't have sea sponges the world would be completely covered in water. They are ultra absorbant.
