He knows that i know about it and that i don't really approve..
i am worried about him as he smokes it on quite a regular basis.. i just want to tell him to stop but am worried that it may affect our relationship.. seen as im not going out with him ..
We are friends but i wouldnt say extremely close.
How should i tell him?? Should i say anything at all ??

I don't know I have some friends that smoke weed. I choose not to. That's my personal choice. As long as he doesn't treat/ act differently toward you then I wouldn't say anything. The only thing I would say is please don't do it around me or in my presence.

It depends on the person. I love smoking pot, but my boyfriend hates it so I cut back for him. He is a special case though because smoking pot ruined a lot of opportunities for him. You just have to trust what the girl says. Ask her why she isn't big on drinking, there may be a story behind it. Ask her straight up if she would have a problem with you drinking. My guess, she would want to be there to make sure you were safe and also faithful. Just ask her =]

Keep in mind, you can't change the guy. And if you try, you will only be disappointed. It sounds like this is something you will not put up with in your life, and that's a good thing. Don't lower your standards to his level, find another guy who has values similar to yours.

maybe sometimes its better to loose him as a friend and as a partner if you tell him the truth and the reality of him smoking.
if he is smart he will listen cuz he cares for you and later on he will realize that his life was put back into perspective because of you and will come after you in the long run.
if he chooses not to listen.. hes not worth it.

tell him how ya feel maybe he will understand but personaly i would stay away from him caz a guy who smokes weed is not worth dating and chances are he is already adicted to the stuff and if ya date him he might want u to start doin it to so try not to get to into him remember there are other guys

You can tell him how you feel about it, but I doubt anything will change, since he is already addicted. A word of advice: do not let the police find you in his apartment/vehicle when they find the stuff in his possession.

You tell him that if he stops and you mean really stops that you will go out with him but if you find out he is lying and cheating then you will not speak to him again. alternatively call the cops.
