I think most women feel that way before their first child. Some even feel like that before every child. Its natural to fear change and worry about the future. I cried everyday for a week before I had my son. I had a set day that they were admitting me in the hospital and I freaked. I started thinking about how scary it would be and I started thinking about everything I didnt know. I always felt confident until that last week. But at risk of sounding like everyone else. Dont worry, just take life day by day and Im sure things will work out in the end!

Every single person who has ever had a baby. Both men and women. It is worse for the women because so much is riding on them, the labor the care giving. But don't worry everything works out in the end. And everyone goes through what you are. You are not alone in this at all. The best thing you can do about it talk about your feelings and do anything you can to relax. Good luck and you will do fine!!

When I was pregnant with my first baby, I started crying spontaneously because I realized that the world was a horrible place and I couldn't do anything about it. I also started having nightmares about the delivery. The day we took her home, I accidentally caught her foot in the strap of her baby carrier and was ready to give her up for adoption because I was sure I was going to be a terrible mother. It's been six years and another baby and they're both doing fine. You and yours will, too.

It's very normal. I would be worried if you weren't having the pre baby jitters. A new baby is a huge responsibility. Just remember to relax once in a while and enjoy the quiet. Pretty soon you won't have any! Good luck.

yes. im due to have my c-section on wednesday (may 16!!) and now that im not working, i have all this free time today and tomorrow. im very anxious about it, so im keeping myself busy. i think thats where the "nesting phase" comes from. its not so much that you have this urge to clean the place that your baby will be coming home too, its more of an anxious feeling and your trying to pass the time away, lol. good luck!

Had it too! But labor wasn't that bad. After 12 hours, decided on an epidural. Thank goodness I did, because I had a 4th degree tear. But believe me, as bad as that was; you won't care one bit. That little baby makes you forget all that discomfort.

I'm at 37 weeks and I have freak out sessions where I begin to wonder how I'll cope, what will change in my life, will I screw up, etc. Perfectly normal.
