Okay I am twenty three weeks and will be leaving tomorrow with three other members by car two states away about a fifteen hour ride without stops. I have not yet travled much of any where since finding out about expecting so I would like to know from others who have travled long distances and how you managed too stay comfortable and not have to make everyone else stop every two or three hours for potty breaks when it will just be me needing to stretch and go. Thanks for any suggestions

You need to take breaks!

Anyone taking a long trip by car should appreciate the chance to get out and stretch their legs every couple of hours, not just pregnant women. I know that I can't go that long without a potty break.

You will need to stop for potty breaks. Anyone who can't understand that is being unreasonable... You also should stretch out every couple hours. Riding for 15 hours straight is just not possible when pregnant.

Sorry to break it to you, but you MUST stop every 2-3 hours for breaks. Pregnant women are at a higher risk for developing deep vein thrombosis - blood clots in the veins of the legs - which is caused by immobility. You have to get out of the car and do some walking to get the blood flowing. Not only that, but I seriously doubt your bladder will allow you to go much longer than that anyway.

The people you are traveling with will just have to accept the fact that they are traveling with a pregnant women. You take care of yourself, don't worry about the inconvenience on them. DVTs are nothing to mess around with.
