Average nationwide gasoline price today is $3.10 per gallon. Even though its been a few years since Bill Clinton left office and gasoline was $1.30 per gallon, surley some way some one can blame $3.10 per gallon on Bill Clinton and Monica, can't they?

I'm a little concerned that a certain segment of the political landscape thinks the oil companies are gouging the consumer with their profits of about ten cents per gallon, while they say nothing about the federal taxes on that same gallon, which are about fifty cents.
Why are the oil companies gouging with a profit of a dime when they are the ones that made the investment and took the risk, but the government getting five times as much for no effort at all is not a concern?

prices take time to go from the manufacturing to the street level. This few years span was just a delay in the market from a sequence of events Bill started in order to shift attention from his affair.
You see Bill passed an education funding bill before he left. This led to a rise in childrens intelligence. So when Bush overturned educational advance with no child left behind. And started his war it was too late, the kids were already smart enough not to fight, so his war dragged on thus creating higher oil prices. But now the stagnation of no child left behind has a new crop of meat heads willing to do his bidding.

Prices do go up. Unfortunately the oil companies are making enormous profits off those increases. The best way to take care of this problem is to do everything we can, throw all of our financial and manpower resources at creating alternative sources of energy. The quicker the better.

I don't blame Bill Clinton for gas prices.
I blame Bill Clinton for failing to take international terrorism seriously.
For the dead Army rangers dragged through the streets by Al Qaeda backed Somalis in Mogadishu.
For failing to capture Bin Laden because he didn't think he had the legal right to do so
For selling ICBM technology to the Chinese who then turned around and gave it to the North Koreans
For invading Kosovo & Bosnia to take attention off of his impeachment hearings.
For Oklahoma City which was in DIRECT response to the way he handled Waco Texas
For convincing an entire generation that oral sex doesn't count as sex.
and last but not least......
For doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING after the attack on the USS cole.
Nice job Bill.

I read your sarcasm, and find your wit lacking. Are you insinuating that policies enacted by past administrations have no impact on today? Don't tell the Social Security people, because FDR is long gone.
I can't say for sure, but I would imagine that if Clinton opposed domestic exploration and drilling and blocked the construction of new refinery facilities, then yes, we can partially blame him for gas being $3.10 per gallon.

Gasoline was also under a dollar when Reagan was president. Does that make him a better president than Clinton. It is called inflation coupled with more demand for a fixed supply. Simple economics. Nothing stays the same price forever.

Blame Bush and big oil. Bushes Energy policy has always been 3:07 a gallon. He is ligning his pockets with the sweat and blood of the American People. At least for now. When all of the jobs are overseas, no one will be able to buy the gasoline.
