Are they really saying that without doing things their way that America is doomed?

I think it is because most fundamentalists are completely unaware of any other moral value system than their own. America is not doomed because of this, but it sure would not hurt if this type of person were to expand their knowledge of the rest of the world.

American fundamental Muslims do not believe the only source of morals is the Christian religion. Neither do American fundamental Jews, or Hindus, or Buddhists. Are you assuming that all American fundamentalist are Christians? That is not true.
