I can't spell his last name, but he was the little red-haired boy in the now-ancient Partridge Family show. He, as an adult, worked at a radio station in Pheonix, Arizona for many years. One day he led a long police chase because he beat up a hooker on the street, she was a transvestite. When he found out that he was bargaining over a he dressed as a she, he got angry and said some things. The other party said some more things, so Danny decked, um, it. The now-physically offended party called the cops and the police went after Danny.
If I date Patricia, and even marry Patricia, but wake up the next morning to find Patrick instead, well, the police will be looking for a certain 'rabbit' fairly soon and for the same reasons they looked for Danny.
Decide. Are you male or are you female? If you made a change, then stay changed. At that point, I don't see a problem. But if you want to be some freak in between, then marriage is certainly not for you, unless it is to another trans.
BTW, states have different rules on such. In Kansas recently, an officially recognized "woman" was arrested for marrying--the line at marriage was a different one than for drivers license and work--it was your birth gender that counted at the marriage license office. So, no matter how successfully passable you are, don't marry in Kansas, or do so at your peril.

I think transsexuals should have the same rights as everybody else.
And Jessica M, that was Grandpa Freeman from The Boondocks who said that.

It all boils down to the gender listed on the birth certificate.
Unless of course gay marriage is legal in your state, in which case gender is no longer a barrier.

What of it?
Personally I think ALL individuals should be allowed to legally marry whomever they chose as long as all parties involved are concenting adults.
I don't know exactly what you're asking though.

I don't remember where I heard it, but somebody was asked if they believed gay marriage was wrong. His response was that he believed ALL marriage was wrong.
