What do you gain by "coming out"? Who benefits? In your case, absolutely no one. So don't.
Among those 'normal' people are folks who like to take things that don't belong to them. There are people among them that think (boys or girls) that adult sex is best done with children. They don't make their preferences public. Why, if I took my inner desire for nudity public--I'd get arrested. We all have things that are best left unsaid, like when the wife says, "Do I look fat in this?" It is not the time to come out with the obvious, "You'd look fat in anything because you are." Just as with the clothes thing for me, it is in the public's best interest that they not see this 'rabbit' undressed (I'll come out with this truth, pretty ugly).
Just as you don't extol the virtues and values of a good beef steak to vegans or the People for Ethical Treatment of Animals crowd, or the deliciousness of ham and bacon to Jews and Moslems, you are among a crowd that would not appreciate your tastes with another appetite.

if you are still living at home and you are not sure your parents will react favorably then stay in the closet until you can be independant.
if you are on your own, I say be yourself. The more open gay people are, especially those of us that are not stereotypical gays, the quicker people will come to accept all of us!

Unless there is some pressing reason for coming out, do not do it if you are living with your parents. Do nothing about coming out until you are on your own..you do NOT need the bullying, the name calling, the ostracism of HS kids...and that is what will happen if you are in a smaller town and school. IT happens in larger towns and schools.

Well if they don't expect it, why would they talk about it behind your back?
Or do you mean to say you are concerned that they might talk behind your back AFTER you come out?

sorry
that depends on yourself, if you feel you can then do it, but if you feel the community is too narrow minded than you should keep it to yourself, it's not everyone's business anyways.
