I kow he is not from the South, he just presents himself that way. We have enough negativity to deal with. Bush just enhances it.

I'll never be ashamed from being from the South. Anyone else who feels differently is a helluva lot more prejudiced than most Southerners I know.

In answer to your question, however..I think it's been pointed out quite nicely that 1) Bush is a New Englander by birth and education, and 2) Texas isn't actually the South.

In any event, I can sleep easy knowing I didn't vote for him in 2004.

That sham cowboy grew up in Maine and went to school in New England. Don't blame the South for him. His problem genetic, exacerbated by Alcoholic dementia.
