So my new laptop has one of those screens that's "IN YOUR FACE" shiny. Which is nice, but it also leaves fingerprints like crazy. Fingerprints that don't seem to go away no matter what type of cloth I try to wipe them off with. What can I use to make it so that I don't see little prints all over my screen?

Do not use paper towels. They are actually quite abrasive.

A soft cloth. (Microfiber or cotton are good).
Dampen it with a soft soap solution. If that does not work, dampen it with isopropyl alcohol.

Dampen the cloth and then clean the screen. If you spray liquids onto the screen there is a chance that excess liquid will run down the screen and short the electronics out. It is unlikely, but why take the chance?

You should use 3M Notebook Screen Cleaning Wipes to clean your laptop screen. You can get it from Comp USA. I use it to clean my monitor, and it cleans it nicely. You shouldn't use Windex, rubbing alcohol, water, or anything like that. It will just make your monitor worse.

in case you ought to, you could hose down your cleansing textile with a splash mist of water, or 70% (30% water) rubbing alcohol answer. you frequently need not hose down all of it, merely to eliminate airborne dirt and dirt. Err on the dry area, as that is greater useful to not be damp sufficient, than to be moist. you could consistently spray the textile slightly greater. never spray the show screen or keyboard with a water based answer. never use something that's not water based answer on your computer show screen.
