at todays gas prices, and talk off going higher yet, what would be an effective way to show the government we had enough of this high priced gouging? should everybody stop buying gas for a day? all trucks delivering freight shut down? whats your opinion? thanks

The reason nothing has happened yet to help reduce gas prices is that too many people think "I'm only one person...what can one person do." Well, if everyone thought that their one opinion mattered, their one tank of gas mattered, then maybe we could make a difference in the way those money hungry capitalists operate.
Another reason why the government isn't going to lift a finger is because they know people have cars and they're gonna need gas for them, and we, the little people, aren't going to be able to hold out for long without it.
But if we all got together with coworkers, fellow students, or whatever, and just car-pooled more it would save on how much gas actually gets consumed by multiple vehicles going to the same place.
There are ways to protest gas prices without staging a march or conducting sit-ins if that doesn't fit into your busy schedule.

Well I wish there was a way to show the Government that we had enough, but that is going to be a hard one to do. Most people can't go a day with out buying gas. Trucks delivering freight shouting down with out permission form there boss will cause them to loose there jobs, and no one wants that. But if you find a way to show the gov, that the gas prices are too high please post it!!!!!!!!!
Good luck

Have you not rec'd the emails about not getting gas tomorrow, on the 15th? I thought everyone saw it by now.
5/15 is supposed to be like a ban on gas day. We'll see if it helps.
