One word answers get the most frequent thumbs down. If the answer is immature, then it gets thumbs down. Talking in chat and text message speak gets thumbs down. Its not like they hurt your points.

most people do it just for fun or because they are petty and dont agree with it. no matter how thorough the answer was.
