32 weeks is early, but not terribly so. Babies are born at 23 weeks and survive (although usually not without complications). At 32 weeks, your baby is essentially mature with the exception of the lungs and the centers in the braint that regulate temperature control. Most of the time they would give you some medication if you went into labor this early that helps to speed the development of the baby's lungs to prevent problems. Also, babies born at this time have difficulty with feeding - they have not developed enough to coordinate an effective suck-swallow. Sometimes they need to be tube-fed for a few weeks until that sucking reflex develops.
But all in all, very few babies born at 32 weeks end up passing away, the ones that do usually have other medical issues or infections or something else going on that is complicating matters.

More than likely your baby would survive, but I wouldn't quite say she would be a "healthy newborn." At 32 weeks, the lungs are not quite fully developed. Also, preemies have a tendency to forget to breathe (apnea) and have trouble eating. My dear friend's twins were born at 32 weeks. They stayed in the NICU for 29 and 21 days respectively. My twins were born at 35 wks 3 days and still had some mild apnea and eating problems. But they went home at 5 days. Best of luck.

My niece had her son at 31 weeks and he was fine. I watch a lot of baby stories on TLC and Discovery Health. Most babies that are born after 30 weeks survive. They may need to spend a few weeks in the neonatal until. The biggest concern I believe is lung maturity, but I believe there are medications that can be given to help speed up that development when they are born.

I Have a friend that just had her first baby born at 27 weeks, the baby was 2lbs 10 oz, but perfect :) He is in the nicu but came off of breathing machines, as his lungs produce enough surfactant now. He was born on May. 4th :) He will go home once he can maintain body temp and also bottle feed all of the milk :) I had both my sons at 35 weeks and completly healthy. Yes a 32 weeker will survive. Might need a little extra help but they will be just fine :)

Good news is there is a lot of medical progress out there to help your baby if he/she arrives early.
But each week inside the womb is that much better. They like you to be at least 28 weeks. The lungs of your baby are developing and those need as much times as they can get before delivery.
I was high risk and on bed rest for several months and every week after that 28 week they were thankful for. I ended up making it 37 weeks and he is totally fine with no problems.
There is a very good possibility your baby would be fine at 32 weeks if you delivered.

your child would most likely survive, but quite possibly have health problems due to immature lungs (amongst other things). There is an injection that they can give to boost the lungs, it is given to YOU, but has to given within a certain time frame (like not 20 minutes before you deliver). Your baby would most likely have to stay in the hospital for a few weeks, be in an incubator with tubes hooked up. It can be pretty scary.
So to answer your question, she most likely would survive, but it's unlikely that she would be a 'healthy newborn'

almost all 32 week premies survive, usually with no complications. My nephew was born at 31 weeks, was on a respirator for 1 day, and went home after 4 weeks.

Most babies born at 32 weeks past the point will he survive. Really don't have much chance with disability with early birth. The only question will be when he comes home.

you wouldn't be able to take her home with you at that age, but yes the babies survival rate would be somewhere around 94.6 %. The only thing she would probably be kept for in the hospital for a short time would be for lung development. But i'm sure you won't have your baby right now. so just hold on, 37 weeks is considered full-term
