it usually happens in pregnancy. it's called ligament stretching. here read about it.
What is round ligament pain?
Round ligament pain generally refers to a brief, sharp, stabbing pain or a longer-lasting dull ache that pregnant women commonly feel in the lower abdomen or groin, starting in the second trimester.
You may feel round ligament pain as a short jabbing sensation if you suddenly change position, such as when you're getting out of bed or out of a chair or when you cough, roll over in bed, or get out of the bathtub. You may feel it as a dull ache after a particularly active day — when you've been walking a lot or doing some other physical activity.
The round ligaments surround your uterus in your pelvis. As your uterus grows during pregnancy, the ligaments stretch and thicken to accommodate and support it. These changes can occasionally cause pain on one or both sides of your abdomen.
You may feel the pain starting from deep inside your groin, moving upward and outward on either side to the top of your hips. The pain is internal, but if you were to trace it on your skin, it would follow the bikini line on a very high-cut bathing suit.

Most of the time it's because they don't know what a PREGNANCY TEST is, but other times they just wonder if it's a possibility. Some women really aren't sure how things work. Some girls do want to get pregnant at a young age because they have no idea what it is really like to have a baby. There are 12 year olds on here that claim that they want a baby! Those girls are the ones looking for attention and those girls are stupid and in for a rude awakening. Just ignore those questions.

I'm not a girl but my wife is 7 months right now. & yes it is normal to feel pains. Honestly, it's also a small sign of a miscarriage. If you start spotting brown or red, it's also a sign of miscarriage. Just try to rest as much as possible if you keep feeling pains. Because doing too many things will make it worse. Trust me, I had to go through the same thing with my wife. & by the way, they say that if you have a lot of pains during the 1st stages of pregnacy, it's usually a boy. But remember, if for any reason you begin to bleed a lot, go to ER. (Hope this helps)

Yes, it is round ligament pain ( i had many ER visits with my first for those.) They can be very painful but i would just take Tylenol if you have to . But it is very normal and will more then likely continue most of your pregnancy. All it is, is your uterus stretching to make room for the baby to grow.

Yes they are called round ligament pains. It's caused because your uterus is the size of a pair before you get pregnant and is stretching to something about the size of a small watermelon. So naturally it makes sense that it would hurt some. It helps if you get a maternity belt--which will also help with leg and back pain, and take tylenol.

Yes and as my pregnancy went on when i would lie on my side and get up quickly it would hurt alot. I thought I had a hernia and questioned my doctor about it, he assured me there was nothing wrong and that this was normal. I honestly felt like he was patrinizing me and wanted a 2nd opinion, long story short he was right. I had my baby 5 months ago and that irrating pulling pain is gone ***sigh *** I guess that's why he has the degree hanging on his wall. LOL Good Luck and congratulations!!!!

yup! there are muscles/tendons/ligaments arround and attached to the uterus that have to stretch as you grow, and it can be uncomfortable at times. Plus all you organs are being pushed out of place, and your digestion slows down so you are more prone to indegestion/gas. Just take it easy and you will be fin

Not to worry ,,,,, it's just stomach muscle adjustments is all ,,,, judging from your question it's your first pregnancy ,,,, Your body is doing something it's never done before ,,,, If they get chronic then see your doctor ,,,, Other wise it's nothing to be concerned about ,,,,
