India is scheduled to play about 45 ODIs and 15 tests for the next 12 months. Isn't it too much cricket? Will it not be taxing on the players to play that much?

I do agree that it will be very taxing on the players to play so many ODI and Test Matches. It has been stated by Chief Selector, Dilip Vengsarkar that they intend to adopt rotation policy so as to reduce the pressure om the players, which is one way good to build good bench strength..

No it would'nt be.
Lets compare it with football...
Footballers, on an average run 8-10 miles every match in a 90 minute game, which they play on alternate days, or even on consecutive days.
There are so many leagues, and they play close to a 120 matches. Isn't it tiring for them?Do they complain?
Then why are we complaining? Moreover, after the WC, India will get a chance to show better cricket, be active and improve their ICC standings!!
Great knews.....buddy.

The way the players are playing shows that they'd rather be in bed for another year or so.Yeah,it's tough cricket for over a year and that's going to mean that in the long run we are gonna have more 'severe injuries' and maybe even lose some good players.Remember Balaji?
Let's just hope for the best.

I believe that all the major cricket bodies are over-extending their players. This must cause "burnout", they need a decent rest between seasons. Its all about money, sadly.
